June Goals

2018-05-30 06.40.05 2.jpg

I know that I say this each month, and this month is no different, but I genuinely can’t believe that we’re in June already. We’re already six months into 2018 and the year is definitely flying by, that’s scary to me! The months all seem to be merging into one. For this post I decided that I would write up a short goals post for this month, some personal goals and some blogging goals that I hope to achieve.

1. Start driving lessons again.

I had this goal in one of my previous monthly goal posts, I think it might have been in April (don’t quote me on that!). Unfortunately, this didn’t end up happening but this is the month that I’m just going to bite the bullet and do it since I’ve been meaning to for literally months now. I didn’t intend on taking such a long break from driving lessons, but here we are.

2. Take more time out for self care.

I have to admit that I’m not the best when it comes to self care and I can easily let myself get into a bad state of mind which isn’t healthy for myself. This month is going to be the month of self care for me and I’m going to make sure that I take time out of my day to make this happen. I’m doing this for myself!

3. Reach 1.5k monthly views.

This may not seem like a lot for some people, but this would be a huge milestone for my little blog. If I surpassed this I would be even amazed and proud of myself. Reaching this might be a little bit challenging, but it’s definitely realistic if I put the work into my content and make it happen!

4. Reach 1k WordPress followers.

I’m about 60 followers away from this goal at the moment as I write this blog post. In order to fulfil this goal I would need to gain about 2 followers a day. This is definitely achievable within the month and I hope I can make this happen too.

5. Continue blogging consistently.

I don’t necessarily have a schedule of when I want blog posts to go up, but I want to blog at least twice a week, if not three times if I manage to organise my time properly. I have a lot of blog post ideas that I want to get out there so I’m hoping that I’ll be motivated to keep on top of my blog! This will also hopefully help me in gaining the monthly views that I also want by the end of the month, fingers crossed.

What’s your main goal for June?

  1. I’m happy to read that you got a follower goal!
Too many people claim they don’t care about it, but obviously we all want to share our story with people or else we’d keep a diary!

  3. Well I definitely hope you will achieve all the goals. I remember when I had to take driving classes, it took me a while to learn how to pass the exam, but now I am quite a good driver so I hope you will manage to take the course this month. In terms of blog goals, I think it’s quite difficult to decide to have more followers. What you can do is simply write more posts and be active. Good luck this month.

  4. Thank you so much for this post. There was something refreshing about it, and it inspired me to go ahead and make my own list of goals for the month! I have a list of long-term goals, but having a few goals for each month is a great way to adjust goals to be appropriate for where you are at the moment in your life, and to give some fresh energy to each new month. I have decided for June to 1) get back on a sleep schedule, 2) blog 3 times a weeks (which has been my goal), 3) get 10 new followers for a FB page (for a non-profit) that I manage (this seems the most intimidating), 4) be at the gym at least 3 times each week, 5) and set aside some dedicated time for prayer.

Also, I can relate to the goal for driving lessons. I am not sure how long you have been practicing, but when I was in the process of learning to drive, I “practiced” on and off for about 3 years, a combination of life (valid and invalid excuses) preventing me from making the progress that I needed. Finally I had the motivation that I needed to be pushed to just get it done. Keep at it and good luck!

  5. I think my main goal for June is to sort out my eating and start exercising more – basically, looking after my health better! Good luck with your driving lessons, it can be hard to start something up again that you previously stopped but after the first few it will feel like you never even left your lessons in the first place!

  6. These are great goals I hope you manage to reach them all! My goals for the month are 2K views on my page and 600 followers on WordPress! I recommend joining in with as many comment threads on Twitter as possible as that really helps my views! Good luck lovely!

  7. These are some great goals. I am also working on posting consistently on my blog. Self-care is so important and we all need to make sure that we make time in our lives for it. Good luck reaching all of your goals!

  8. Self care is super important to remember, but can also be so easy to forget.. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope you reach your monthly views goal as well, although I’m confident you will! 🙊

  9. Great goals, good luck with your driving! I accidentally took a 10 year break from my lessons and didn’t end up passing until I was 28! Don’t leave it as long as I did haha! My goal for June is to hit 800 twitter followers, I’m almost there at around 750 so feeling hopeful!

  10. Great goals! I think it’s important to set goals for yourself, it’s something i need to personally get better at! I think it’s great that you want to focus on self care more, I have a blogpost up on my page all about self care if you’d like to check it out! xx
