30 Things That Make Me Happy

I haven’t posted on my blog for about three weeks now (maybe more) when you’re reading this because I needed a little break. Since my emotions have been a bit up and down lately, I thought that it would be a nice idea to right a list about 30 things that make me happy. It’s always nice to have something like this to look back on to remind myself on rough days when I’m not feeling my best. Here are 30 things that make me happy!

1. Buying new clothes
2. Buying new stationery (notebooks and pens especially!)
3. Using a fresh notebook
4. Buying new makeup
5. Binge watching youtube videos
6. Binge watching Netflix (my fave’s atm are Miranda and Friends)
7. Listening to my favourite music (i.e. Cheryl / chart music)
8. Long drives whilst listening to music
9. Buying gifts for other people
10. When others appreciate your hard work
11. When people tell you they’re proud of you
12. Buying a new bag!! (this was me recently)
13. Getting stuck in a good book
14. Going for long walks
15. Sleeping with fresh bedding
16. Free delivery in orders
17. Sales/discounts on your favourite shops
18. McDonald’s Strawberry milkshake (it’s my fave)
19. McDonald’s Big Tasty
20. Coming up with new blog post ideas
21. Writing new blog posts
22. Having cold showers in the hot weather
23. Bullet journalling
24. Catching up with friends
25. Achieving a personal goal
26. Finishing a good book!
27. Testing out new skincare products
28. The sound of rain
29. My cat
30. Visiting new places

  1. Hi Ashleigh, I like this post such a healthy way to re-frame your mind back to positive thinking! I have similar tastes to you, the things that make me happy besides spending time with family and friends, others include: trying new local restaurants, helping others, washing my hair, listening to music while it’s raining, going to the beach and watching Stranger Things.

  4. Self-care is so important, and I’m so glad this break did you some good! We need to remind ourselves what makes us happy, even if it’s the smallest of things like an amazing strawberry shake from McDonald’s! Love this list, girl!

  5. I haven’t started writing anything for my blog. I needed a break from blogging too. I guess we all need a little break sometimes. Anyway, new outfits, clean bedding, visiting new places, chocolate, flowers, a good book are some of the things that make me happy!😊

    1.) The sound of rain (and the smell, omg!) ^_^
    2.) Dark chocolate and coffee
    3.) Reading for pleasure
    4.) Crafting new stories
    5.) Interpretive Dancing
    6.) Drawing
    7.) Photography
    8.) Curling up with my fur-baby
    9.) Cuddles with my fiance
    10.) Taking a long walk while listening to my favourite music.

    I loved this post so much. Sometimes, we just need to take care of ourselves. ^_^

  7. I was feeling down recently and made a list just like this, such a great way to reflect on the happier things in life! Friends, new stationary and finishing a good book were all on the list! And a lot of food haha. Loved this! x
