I’ve seen a lot of people review this foundation stick previously and there seems to be a lot of good reviews about it. I’ve never tried a foundation stick before this because I was worried than it wouldn’t work out very well with my skin type, for information I have dry skin. With having normal/dry skin I was cautious of the foundation clinging to this. If you want to know how the Revolution foundation stick worked with my skin, then keep on reading!
For those who are wondering, I have been using this foundation stick in the shade F1.
For the first couple of times than I tried the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation out I used my Real Technique expert face brush. In all honesty this just didn’t work out. I found that using a brush was more difficult when it came to blending the foundation out, although I managed to make it look okay. The finish wasn’t exactly what I was happy with to say the least. At this point I was ready to give up on the foundation because I thought it wasn’t going to work out for me.
I quickly switched to my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to give the foundation stick one last chance. I made sure the sponge was damp before I blended out my foundation and it worked a miracle! Using a damp sponge made this foundation so much easier to blend out and the finish looked better than it did with a sponge. Like the name of the foundation says, it’s definitely fast to apply and blend out which is great if you’re in a rush in the morning!
You’re also probably wondering how the foundation stick worked with my dry skin, or at least I assume so. Despite my initial doubts about the foundation clinging to any dry patches, it surprised me when it didn’t at all! With a damp sponge the foundation gives a lovely finish. Like it says on the superdrug website, this foundation definitely gives a fresh and dewy look which I love. It has good coverage, but I would be careful about applying too much in case it comes out a little cakey. Other than that, it’s good!
In terms of the shade, I do wish I had gone a shade darker but unfortunately they didn’t have that shade in my Superdrug store! It’s not an awful match, but I can make it do. I’m sure it’ll be a great shade come winter time, maybe!
To sum up my first impressions/review of the Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick, I’m pleasantly surprised with this foundation stick. I would definitely recommend blending this foundation out with a damp beauty blender/sponge as the finish of the foundation turned out better this way in my opinion! It hasn’t clung to any dry patches on my skin which I was cautious about beforehand, so that’s great.
Have you tried Revolution’s Fast Base Stick Foundation out? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I’ve heard a lot about this but not yet tried it. I have the conceal and define concealer and absolutely love it, but I’m (like you) worried that this will be a bit too heavy and full coverage for me
