Hello October

I’d just like to start the post off by saying that I can’t believe that we are in October already. As I say each month that passes by, I cannot believe how fast this year is going. Before we know it it’ll be Christmas! I’m so glad that summer is out of the way and autumn is finally underway as it’s one of my favourite seasons! I have to admit that I’m that person that was wishing all through the summer heat for it just to be cold again.

Not only am I glad that summer is completely out of the way, but I’m glad that I’m leaving September behind me because it hasn’t been my greatest month in terms of my mental health. There have been ups and there have been downs, admittedly the downs have outweighed the ups, but somehow I’ve pulled through. Thankfully I have a team of supportive people around me, even when I’ve been what I’ve felt to be some of my lowest points.

You may have also noticed that I’ve been absent from blogging (and from social media for that matter) for the past month, and I can’t apologise more for this. I’ve wanted nothing more than to create content for you, but to be blogging hasn’t been my main priority this month and I’ve had to put it to one side. As much as I love blogging, I had to put myself first as selfish as that may be.

On a more positive note, I’m back now with this being my first post. Not just that, hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with posting on my blog for the whole of blogtober meaning you’ll get a whole month’s worth of blog posts! Although I know this might be difficult to achieve, I’m going to try my best to post as much as possible. Hopefully this will get my creative juices flowing for future content!

Another thing that I also wanted to mention that this is the month where I have a big birthday. I’m not one for big celebrations or being the centre of attention, in fact I hate it, but this month I turn 21 and I’m not quite sure how I feel about that. Although I’m not one for big celebrations, I feel like this birthday is definitely worth celebrating, especially after the year I’ve had. I have to admit that I’m not the best at making plans with people, so I need to get my act together with that one.

Are you taking part in blogtober? Let me know in the comments!
