Throughout the month of September, I’ve picked up a few favourites that I really want to share with you all. This favourites blog post is going to be a mixture of various different things from beauty to skincare to podcasts, I hope you don’t mind! This may be a long favourites post, so please sit back and enjoy!
Maybelline Master Prime Anti-Redness Primer
I picked this primer up a couple of weeks ago from Superdrug because I was looking for a new primer to try out. When I saw this primer in my Superdrug store I knew that I had to try it out. Let’s just say that this primer has become a firm favourite of mine. I can definitely see a difference in my skin when I use this primer, both when I use this alone and under makeup. I would definitely recommend trying this primer out if you want to reduce the appearance of redness. If I remember correctly, this primer cost me £8.99.
Revolution Soph Nude Lipstick in Syrup
I don’t really any new lipsticks because I have plenty of them, but I couldn’t resist buying it. Who doesn’t love a good nude lipstick, am I right? I absolutely love this lipstick and it’s become one of my favourites. I would definitely recommend this to anybody else looking for a new nude lipstick to add to their collection!
L’Oreal Les Chocolats Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Dose of Cocoa (848)
This is a new range that L’Oreal came out with a couple of months ago and something that I’ve been tempted buy. Well, I couldn’t resist my temptation and I had to try one of these lipsticks out and I absolutely LOVE the shade that I bought. Not only do I love the shade, but I love the smell of these lipsticks too.
Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick
I’ve always been unsure about using foundation sticks, especially my skin is more on the dry side, but I really have enjoyed using this foundation and it’s become one of my favourites. I would definitely recommend applying this with a damp beauty blender rather than with a brush personally as I prefer the finish. I have a full review of the foundation here if you to check it out!
Staedtler Triplus Color Pens
I picked these pens up from Ryman not long ago because I wanted to use them for my bullet journal, and I love them. Staedtler’s stationery in general is my all time favourite and I knew that I wouldn’t be disappointed. I know that they also do the fineliner versions in 6 pastel colours which I really want to get my hands on, but when I tried looking I couldn’t find them!
I’ve been trying to get into podcasts more often recently, and there’s a couple that I go back to on a regular basis. For that reason I wanted to add them into this favourites post.
The first podcast that I’ve been enjoying is The Anxiety Podcast hosted by Tim JP Collins. I listen to this podcast on Spotify for convenience. Each episode lasts about 15-20 minutes whereby Tim discusses various different topics surrounding anxiety, for example confidence or relationship anxiety. I’ve honestly really been enjoying listening to each episode, I would definitely recommend checking Tim’s podcast out!
The next podcast that I’ve been enjoying isn’t for the faint hearted as it’s The NoSleep Podcast which, as you may have guessed already, is a horror fiction podcast. It basically consists of different voice actors narrating various short horror stories. The music and sound effects that go along with the podcast really add to the podcast, making it more creepier. If you’re into horror or the paranormal, then I would definitely recommend checking out this podcast.
There have been two series that I’ve been loving this month. The first of these being Season Two of Atypical. It focuses on an 18 year old teenager who is on the autism spectrum who feels as though he is ready for dating and romance. It’s a great series, so good that I actually ended up binge watching Season 2 in one weekend. I highly recommend anyone to watch it if you haven’t already!
I’ve also been loving Season 7 of American Horror Story: Cult. If you’re into horror or anything like that, then I would definitely recommend this season of AHS! There have been certain scenes where I’ve had to look away because it’s messed up, but overall I’ve been enjoying it. This season of AHS has also made me realise just how beautiful Sarah Paulson is, which you may have seen me mention on twitter, but that’s besides the point.
