My Ride Or Die Makeup Products

Over the past couple of years, I’ve tried and tested various makeup products from foundations, concealers, powders, mascaras and so on. The majority of the products that I buy are drugstore products, simply because of the fact that they’re cheaper and I’m always worried that I’ll spend more on higher-end products and not like them! As I’ve tried various products over the years, I’ve to love certain products, as anyone would. For today’s blog post I thought that it would be a nice idea to share with you my go-to products from each category. For information, my skin is more on the normal/dry side.

At the moment, the Maybelline Master Prime Anti-Redness has to be my go-to. My skin tone is uneven and red, and this primer definitely helps to make my skin look better ready for applying the rest of my makeup on top.

I’ve used so many different foundations from the drugstore, and my all time favourite has to be Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation (I use the shade Light Porcelain). Even when I try new foundations out, I always repurchase this one because I know that I love it. It’s not a heavy foundation which I like, but it still helps to even out my skin tone. It’s like my own skin but better and it doesn’t look like you’re trying to mask anything. I also enjoy the L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh foundation (again, I use the shade Porcelain), which is great for when I want a bit more coverage.

Brows have definitely become my favourite part of my makeup routine. My go-to brow product at the moment is the L’Oreal Paradise Pomade in the shade Brunette. I’ve used other pomades in the past, but this is definitely my favourite. It’s easy to use and it makes my brows look better!

Another eyebrow that I’d also like to mention would be the L’Oreal Brow Artist Xpert. I love this because it’s a retractable brow pen and I also love the triangular shape of it. This makes it easier to fill in your brows in my opinion. I’ve repurchased this product once or twice and I would definitely repurchase it again in the future!

In all honesty, I don’t use concealer all the much, but my go-to has to be the Seventeen Stay Time 18 Hour concealer in the shade extra fair. With being fair, it’s one of the few concealers that doesn’t turn orange on me once I’ve applied it.

In terms of powder, the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent is always my go to. I’ve repurchased this powder numerous times over the past couple of years. It’s a great powder that does the job for me!

This is the only high end makeup product that I’m going to mention in this blog post, but my favourite eyeshadow palette has the be the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics. Firstly, I love this palette because of the mirror that’s attached to it which is so handy. Secondly, I absolutely love the shades in this palette because they’re so easy to wear on a day-to-day basis. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a new eyeshadow palette!

I’m not the best at eyeliner and I’m still practising, but my favourite to practise with has to be Soap and Glory’s Supercat Black Eyeliner Pen. As a beginner with eyeliner, I find this super easy to use, I would definitely recommend if you’re a beginner like myself.

At the moment my go-to mascara has to be Soap and Glory’s Thick and Fast mascara. Again, for me, this mascara does the job. It doesn’t make come out clumpy which is what I hate about some mascaras, but this one works for me!

In terms of lipstick, I always tend to wear a nude lipstick because it’s the most wearable. Plus, a nude lipstick goes with most things! My go-to nude lipstick at the moment has to be either Max Factor’s Colour Elixir Matte Lipstick in the shade 05 Nude or Revolution’s Soph Nude Lipstick in the shade Syrup. Both of these lipsticks are so easy to wear on a day-to-day basis and I love them.

  1. Really like those shades of lipstick – perfect for daytime! I rarely use primers unless it is for a night out or I’m abroad. Do you think on a day to day basis it makes a difference?
