After a long day, whether that be at work or at school, it can be difficult to tune out of everything that’s going on and relax. I know that I find it difficult sometimes and it can be easy to forget to take time to relax and do the things that we enjoy. For today’s blog post I thought that I would share with you some of the ways that I like to relax after having a long day, and I hope that you’re able to take away some of these suggestions for yourself!

Reading a book

After a busy day, it can be nice to just sit down and get yourself lost into reading a book. At the moment I’m currently making my way through all of the Harry Potter books. As I’m writing this post (ps, I’m writing this way in advance) I’m currently on the first book, The Philosopher’s Stone! What I love about reading is that it is so easy to just turn off from the outside world and get lost into the world of the book.

Listening to music

I also love listening to music in order to help myself to relax after having a long day. I personally prefer listening to more upbeat and happier music in order to help take my mind off things that may have happened throughout the day. I also have an updated Spotify playlist if you want to check this out, I recently posted on my blog about it.

Watching YouTube videos

Watching videos is a great way to take your mind off things after a long day. It can be something as a simple as watching your favourite Youtuber. At the moment I personally enjoy watching the SacconeJoly’s, they’re my favourites.

Watch a Netflix show

If you don’t want to watch a YouTube video, then you could always find something good to watch on Netflix! Personally, I would recommend Stranger Things to anybody that hasn’t watched it before. If anyone has anymore Netflix recommendations, then let me know down in the comments, I’d love to know!

Bullet Journaling

Now, I’m not the most creative person in the world, but I love bullet journaling. It’s a great way to be creative and take your mind off the day. I love creating and designing new pages as well as keeping myself organised with my blog through my bullet journal!   1. I like to relax with music which varies from something to a beat, to something more relaxing. I like to read and I still bullet journal.
    I also find colouring helps me relax, as well as a walk in the park.


  2. These are all great ideas! I love the Harry Potter books and Stranger Things is an awesome show. I’ve read and watched them book again recently and they really relax me.
