For today’s blog post, I thought I would round up the year in a single blog post as a reflection/review. I enjoy reflecting on things that have happened, whether that be good or bad situations. This year has been a challenging year in many different ways, more ways than I could imagine. There have been good times, bad times, challenging times and different changes throughout the year that I’ve had to adjust to.
Without going into a lot of detail, my 2018 was spent dealing with a lot of change, anxieties, getting rid of toxic people, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and a lot more. That makes 2018 sound like it was a bad year, but it wasn’t really all that bad. 2018 was also spent with laughter, good company and some good memories along the way.
This year was the year that I also celebrated my 21st birthday in good company. I had a couple of meals with family and friends (and probably drank too many glasses of red wine and cocktails in the process, but hey ho!). I also essentially celebrated my 21st birthday twice with a work birthday and my actual birthday, of course, which was absolutely lovely.
One of the most significant changes that happened was that I landed myself a new job in November. After all the stress and anxiety that I’d been through prior to this, I was (and still am) pretty proud of myself. Although it’s something that I’m still adjusting myself to, I couldn’t be more than happy and appreciative of the current situation that I’m in.
In terms of blogging wise, my blog has only grown from strength to strength for me personally. This year, I shared my first guest post on my blog which you can read here, my overall blog views have practically doubled since last year and monthly blog views seem to be constantly on the increase. I may not have achieved as much when compared to other bloggers, but I’m proud of my blog and the content that I’m currently putting out there.
One thing that I am also pretty proud of is that my blog post what 2018 has taught me so far has reached over 1,500 and has become my most viewed blog post of all time. I never expected it to be this popular, nevermind get as many views as it has done!
There have been a few ups and downs with my blog. There have been months where I have struggled to write blog posts consistently because I’ve been so busy with work and I simply didn’t want to overwork myself. In September, I didn’t even post a single blog post because I was that busy with work and I didn’t want to burn myself out when it came to blogtober.
Overall, this year has been pretty good to me and the challenges have only helped me to grow as a person. I have a couple of goals that I want to achieve in 2019, but I’ll save that for another blog post, otherwise, this will be incredibly lengthy!
How’s 2018 treated you? Let me know in the comments!

All the best for 2019, sounds like you had a good year in 2018 despite it being challenging at times. I’m the same, 2018 was difficult for me so I’m glad to see the end of it.
