Where has the past year gone? Each year seems to pass by quicker than ever and the more I think about it, the scarier it seems. I honestly cannot believe that we are in 2019 already. If you want to know what I thought of 2018, then you can read my 2018: year in review post which went up on New Year’s Eve. After a little bit of self promo, it’s time to get into the blog post!
Reflection on December
Similar to November, I’ve still have been trying to get my mental health back on track. It’s a constant work in progress, but I’m getting there. One thing that December has taught me is the importance of breaks. In December I ended up taking 3 weeks off from blogging (unintentionally) after I felt too ill to function and I honestly think I needed that break. This meant that I didn’t end up completing blogmas like I had intended to, but that doesn’t matter. I’m also thankful for the Christmas break because this break from work is also well needed for my own mental health.
In December I also learnt to push myself out of my comfort zone, even if I am feeling a little anxious in the moment. This is something that I need to do more often in the future because I literally had nothing to feel anxious about. Of course, it’s just as okay to say no and be selfish when I need to be.
December has been a great month in terms of my blog too. Despite the fact that I failed blogmas (let’s just look past that), my blog has surpassed my main blogging goal for the month. I managed to achieve almost 2.5k views across the whole month, whilst also achieving my best day for views which I’m proud of. I can only hope that my blog will grow from strength to strength in 2019.
Overall, December has been a good month for me, but at the same time, I am glad to see the back of 2018.
How has December treated you?

I hope January brings even better things for you. Taking breaks is so important, my December was one big break from blogging and it gave me a lot of time to reflect before getting back into things.
