Being single isn’t a bad thing or something to be ashamed of. Neither is spending Valentine’s day single or on your own for that matter! I’ve spent my whole life single (which I’m not mad about, to be honest) so I’m very used to be single on Valentine’s day. In fact, I’ve grown to love being single, you can read why here. If you still want to celebrate Valentine’s day in some way, then I’ve come up with a list of suggestions for you!
Have a film marathon
Why not spend Valentine’s day watching your favourite films or catching up on your favourite TV shows? It can be a romantic film or TV show (fitting for Valentine’s Day, of course), or any other genre that you enjoy watching! On the other hand, if you’re looking for something new to watch, why not check out my top 5 Netflix recommendations post to give you some ideas.
Take advantage of any sales
If you can’t treat somebody that you love, then why not take advantage of any sales and treat yourself. Buy yourself those pair of shoes that you want or that bag that you’ve been looking at. Treat yourself because you deserve it! The fact that there’ll be sales on because of Valentine’s Day is an added bonus!
Celebrate Galentine’s Day
Organise to spend some time with your friends doing something fun whether that be going for a meal at your favourite restaurant, going on a night out, or possibly a pub crawl? Either way, gather your friends together and have some fun! There’s nothing better than spending time and having the company with some of your favourite people.
Dedicate the day to self care
Making time for self care can be difficult when life gets caught up with us. Valentine’s day is a great excuse to dedicate the day specially to self-care. Whether that’s having a hot bath, getting stuck into a new book, or whatever helps you to relax. I may write a blog post soon on some tips for self care.
Take yourself out to your favourite restaurant
It can be intimidating to go out for a meal by yourself, but why not take yourself out to your favourite restaurant and treat yourself to your favourite meal. Or, maybe you could take yourself out to your favourite breakfast place.
If you’re too anxious to go by yourself, then why not take a friend along with you for good company!
