In my July Favourites blog post, I mentioned that I wanted to write a separate post on my skincare routine. Over the past month or so, I’ve been using a fair few new products that I wanted to mention, and I thought that it deserved a whole new post on its own! So, here is that very blog post.
In terms of my skincare routine, the majority of the products that I mention are what I use in the evening. I try and use these products on a daily basis after work, but it’s not always possible when I’m feeling knackered.
So here is my updated skincare routine!
Simple Exfoliating Wipes
If I am feeling particularly lazy then I will take my makeup off after work using the Simple Exfoliating Wipes. These are my favourites to use and I almost always use Simple makeup wipes if I’m going to use any to take off my makeup. I feel like using wipes is just a really easy method of removing makeup.
Garnier Micellar Water
Alternatively, I will use my Garnier Micellar Water to remove my makeup. I’ll pour a bit of this on a cotton pad. I tend to use about 2 (maybe 3) cotton pads when I’m doing this as I can use one cotton pad for half of my face.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser
After I’ve taken off my makeup, I will then rinse my face with water and apply this with my hands in circular motions. After I’ve worked this up into a lather, I will then rinse it off with warm water. I honestly love how this makes my skin feel great. This can make your skin feel a bit on the dry side, but it’s nothing that moisturiser can’t sort out!
Pixi Glow Tonic
Following the cleanser, I then use the Pixi Glow Tonic. I tend to put this on cotton pads and essentially swipe across my face. I tend to use two to three cotton pads this way and it does the trick. It’s definitely become a staple part of my skincare routine!
Simple Water Boost Skin Quench Sleeping Cream
(That’s a mouthful of a name for a moisturiser!)
As part of my evening skincare routine, I will follow up with this Simple moisturiser which I’m loving at the moment. As somebody who’s skin type is more on the side, I love hydrating this is. I would definitely recommend this product if you have dry skin!
Vitamin E Moisture Cream
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is apply this moisturiser to my face and neck. It acts as a great base underneath my everyday makeup. This is a great everyday moisturiser, even if you have dry skin.
And that’s a wrap for my updated skincare routine. I hope you enjoyed this blog post!
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments!
