Netflix Recommendations #4

I’m always looking for new things to watch on Netflix, whether that’s a series or a film. With there being so much choice on Netflix, it can be difficult to choose what to watch next. I know that feeling all too well once I’ve finished a decent series! I’ve written a couple Netflix recommendations blog post in the past, so from this post onward I’ve decided to just number each new recommendations post!

Without further ado, here are some of my Netflix recommendations based on what I’ve been binge watching lately, let’s get into it.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse

“As nuclear Armageddon pushes the world to the very brink, a coven of badass witches steps up as humanity’s final hope against the Antichrist.” (Credit to Netflix)

I started binge watching this season of American Horror Story as soon as it was added to Netflix on Friday 20th. There has been the odd season that I’ve not gotten into (i.e AHS: Hotel!), but I really enjoyed the storyline for this one from start to finish. It’s one of those that I managed to binge watch in a whole weekend, not guilty! What I love about this season is how it incorporates previous seasons such as Murder House and Coven because it makes it a lot more interesting!

“Just as bestselling author Emma Larsimon announces she’s done writing horror, an unnerving visit from an old friend draws her back to her hometown.” (Credit to Netflix)

This is another one of those horror style drama series that I saw pop up on Netflix and so I decided to give it a chance, let’s just say that I wasn’t disappointed to say the least. The only thing with this is that I wouldn’t recommend watching it after dark on your own, guaranteed it will give you nightmares! I was on this right from the beginning, although I would give a trigger warning to the first episode.

Bates Motel

“When his father dies, Norman Bates and his mother open a hotel. But Norman’s precarious mental state drives them down a dark and violent path.” (Credit to Netflix)

I’m currently on season three of this show and I’m really enjoying it. This is probably one of the only Netflix series that I’m binge watching and I’m actually taking my time watching it – a couple of episodes a week at the most! I would highly recommend this though.  I’m pretty sure this Netflix show is also based around the 1960s horror film Psycho if anybody has ever watched that before.

Another Life

“After saying goodbye to her family on Earth, Niko wakes in space to find the Salvare off course and divided loyalties among her young crew.” (Credit to Netflix)

I binge watched this series (no surprises there) back in August and I actually quite enjoyed it. When I looked at the reviews afterwards, there were a few that were a bit negative, but I couldn’t care less to be honest. I don’t tend to watch much in the sci-fi genre if I’m being completely honest, but I found this to be an easy watch. All in all, I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something new to watch!

Stranger Things: Season 3

“When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.” (Credit to Netflix)

This particular Netflix recommendation is pretty much a given. What’s a Netflix recommendations blog post without Stranger Things in it, am I right? Honestly, I absolutely LOVED this season, it was definitely one of my favourite seasons so far. If you haven’t watched Stranger Things yet, then what are you waiting for? I’d highly recommend it, it 100% worth the hype.
