Hello June. It’s been a long while since I posted on my blog… 3 months in fact and it’s flown by. I never intended to take a break this long and I think this is the longest blogging break I’ve had since I started. I’ve missed blogging a lot, I’m glad to be back and getting stuck into it again. Oh how I’ve missed writing.
These past couple of months have been a bit of a blur with lockdown and everything. Every day seems to be merging into one and I’m losing track of the days. Is it a Bank Holiday? Is it the weekend yet? Who knows haha. I honestly can’t wait for some normality when everything is safe. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been craving a Subway this past week and I’ve been missing my Costa hot chocolate.
I haven’t found lockdown to be the easiest, especially over the past month. My mental health hasn’t always been the best and I have struggled. I miss the routine of going to work everyday and socialising with work colleagues more often. As much as socialising is draining as an introvert, it can feel a little lonely in situations like this. It’s been a weird time to say the least. It’s hard not being able to do the things you normally do as part of your routine and trying to keep yourself busy in other ways during lockdown. I know I’m not the only one in the situation, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
The main positive during this whole pandemic situation is that I’m thankfully still being paid 100%, allowing me to save more, and is something I’m incredibly grateful for at a time like this.
I have started a bookstagram account which I’m hoping to be posting on soon. I’d love it if you gave it a follow! (Shameless self promo.) I’m hoping to get through some more of my tbr list as I currently have a lot of unread books. During lockdown I have also been watching more programmes and stuff on different streaming services which you’ll find more about in my May favourites later on this week so keep an eye out for that!
I’m hoping that June will be a better month. I’m making a comeback to the blogging world after months and I’m getting back into the habit of writing again which I’ve missed incredibly. I’m hopefully going to be trying to plan out some content for the rest of the month and just generally getting on top of my blogging tasks. I already have a couple of blog posts and I can’t wait to be posting more regularly on here. I’d really love to get back into bullet journalling at some point too so maybe this is a good time to do that as well. We’ll see.
